Our Mission Statement
“The mission of Citizens for Responsible Taxation, is to create a healthy and more prosperous Saint Paul community by encouraging the direct participation of the electorate in referendum and ballot initiative questions.”
To the extent that any issue of concern to the voters in our community has not been adequately addressed by our elected officials, especially pertaining to the delivery of services, production of tax revenue, or consumption of revenue, Citizens for Responsible Taxation will seek to put those issues to the voters of Saint Paul by referendum or ballot initiative.
Our Plan of Action:
We’re taking these important issues directly to you, the citizens of Saint Paul, and giving you the opportunity to have direct democratic influence on decisions and policies that affect all of us. By petitioning City Council, we can help give voters greater control over important decisions such as property tax increases and transportation projects. Review our petitions and exercise your rights as outlined in Chapter 8 of our City Charter!
